welcome

Do things look a little different around here? I’m so excited to welcome you to the new design for Living Lou! Isn’t it gorgeous? I might be a little biased though. This has been such a fun process – a little stressful but completely exhilarating (those last minute changes before you go live!) If you’re getting this by email, you must visit the site and take a look around.

I worked with the absolutely amazing dynamic duo over at Wooden Spoons Kitchen, Melissa and Erin. They have such an amazing aesthetic mixed with some mad skills and the ability to take the vision I had in my head and turn it into this beautiful, functional site. I can’t thank them enough for the countless hours they spent building and designing it! Did I mention that Melissa had a baby and Erin got married during the redesign process? Yep. I know. And they were still so dedicated to my site!

So please, take a look around. You’ll see a gorgeous, visual recipe index (one of my favourite features), as well as a new format for my recipes that’s hopefully a little easier to follow and will making printing a dream. To get to the blog and catch up on all my posts, all you have to click is “recent posts”. Otherwise, you can browse around sections straight from the home page or check out the recipe index!

We’re still working out a few things here and there so if you run into any bugs, let me know!

I’ve only shown a few people this design, but the opinions that mean the world to me? Yours. My dedicated and lovely readers. Send me an email or leave me a comment – what do you think of the new design?

Looking forward to sharing lots of new, delicious recipes next week!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my lovely Canadians!
