2019 is the year that you elevate your home cooking. The year where every dish you cook is a step up from the everyday “ho-hum” meal. Where whipping up a quick (yes!) risotto on a Saturday night is not scary and where salmon en papillote becomes part of your vocabulary (and repertoire).
I’m so excited to be launching my first 8-week program to help you take your cooking to the next level.
I believe that food should be simple, fresh and flavourful. It starts with real ingredients and simple techniques to create meals worthy of both a Monday night and a social media share (#CookWithLou, of course). The recipes you’ll find in this guide are in my signature style, they are vibrant and approachable. Filled with easy-to-find ingredients and a few favourites that I think everyone should have in their kitchen (kimchi, I’m looking at you). They are designed with speed and simplicity in mind.
How does it work?
Every week you’ll receive an email straight to your inbox with a focal recipe and a quick lesson. They are based on the fundamentals of cooking and each week will build off the previous weeks’ lessons. We’ll tackle sautéing, braising, stewing (yes, they are different!) we’ll look at poaching, roasting and steaming (yes, steamed food can be good, I’ll show you how). I’ll also share 5 common cooking mistakes and how to fix them.
Who is this for?
This program is for anyone who is looking to understand the fundamentals of cooking in an easy-to-digest format. You won’t feel overwhelmed and I guarantee you’ll be a better cook after tackling the recipes.
My recipes are globally inspired and developed not only to pique your interest (and pin to your Pinterest board) but also to provide answers.
