1 ½lbsboneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into 1" pieces
1onion, finely diced
1cancoconut milk
¼cupplain yogurt
4tablespoontomato paste
2clovesgarlic, minced
2tablespoongaram masala
1tablespooncurry powder
1tablespoonminced ginger
1teaspoonturmeric
½teaspoonsalt
1tablespoongranulated sugar
2tablespoonbutter, optional
Instructions
Add chicken and onion to slow cooker insert.
In a medium bowl, whisk coconut milk with yogurt, tomato paste , garlic, garam masala, curry powder, ginger, turmeric and salt. Pour mixture over top of chicken and onions and cook for 5-6 hours over low.
Turn slow cooker off and stir in sugar and butter, if using.
