Make chicken souvlaki the way they do in Greece with this recipe for grilled Greek chicken souvlaki made with a simple souvlaki marinade of olive oil, garlic, oregano and lemon juice.
Servings 8 skewers
- 4 chicken breasts, cut into 1-1/2" pieces
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
In a glass bowl, whisk olive oil with lemon juice, oregano, salt and garlic powder. Add chicken, cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat and soak wooden skewers for 20 minutes. Thread chicken onto skewers.Grill, covered, for 4-5 minutes per side. Serve with lemon wedges and tzatziki sauce.
